The Denver River Mile is a long term vision for a 15 million SF development along the North Platte River in downtown Denver. The proposed development will replace an existing amusement park and riverfront industry lots with a green mixed-use district and restored natural river floodplain. The project will reimagine the riverfront that floods annually as a flood-resilient public park with bike and pedestrian infrastructure. It will restore the river’s role as an active watershed, wildlife habitat, and recreational amenity.
